You’re invited to the inaugural Art Buyers Invitational, presented by Pop Box Gallery and Portal Studio on Tuesday, May 21 from 5:30-8p. Durham artists– Derrick Beasley, Catherine Edgerton, Meg Stein and Cornell Watson–will present new or rarely seen work. Laura Ritchie, co-founder of Pop Box Gallery, will speak about the joys and benefits of collecting work by local artists. Come meet the artists and support their work!

A curated selection of photographs, drawings, mixed media art, and sculptures will be available for purchase. Derrick Beasley will share work across photography, painting and collage that explore eco-possibilities and Black masculinity. Catherine Edgerton primarily works in multimedia collage and kaleidoscopic play and will present a collection of mixed media work spanning different bodies of work. Meg Stein will share drawings and mixed media sculptures about embodiment, whiteness and femininity. Photographer Cornell Watson will have a selection of prints from recent projects about the Black experience available for purchase.

Tickets to the event are $25 and the price of your ticket can be applied to any art you purchase. All the work available will be in the $500- $3000 price range, with options available to pay over time.
